Our founder began his career nearly three decades ago as a property manager for one of the countries top asset management companies.  There he specialized in managing renovations of both commercial and residential properties and his unique skills and talents began to evolve. His many responsibilities included the designing, planning, scheduling and budget implementation of large-scale projects throughout the country. During his tenure, he directed the maintenance and management of  hundreds of residential and commercial projects .

He found that his true passion lay in the furniture design and manufacturing process. To advance his vision became a student of interior design at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. While attending school he launched his first company specializing in specialty finishes and worked on some of South Florida’s most prestigious estates, commercial spaces and luxury yachts.  His original twist on an age old art of custom artistic finishing became very popular within the design community and soon became known for his movement of organic styled textured finishes, with his work commonly published in magazines such as Architectural Digest and South Florida Design throughout the 90’s.and early 2000’s.

Soon after, he began gearing his focus to the hospitality industry in the Hawaiian islands, developing close relationships with some of the world's finest furniture manufacturers and suppliers, turning out the new gold standard in hospitality interiors and furnishings. Over the next decade he designed and manufactured custom furnishings for both his own furniture and accessories boutiques in Hawaii and large exclusive resorts throughout the Islands. Crafting a style of design which incorporates the mindfulness of sustainability features with modern day elegance and comfort brought a more relaxed comfortable edge to his portfolio.  In his furniture design career, he has manufactured and serviced contracts valued in the tens of millions and importing hundreds of shipments of custom residential and hospitality furniture for his clients, thus expanding his vast industry knowledge to new heights.

Relocating to the Pacific Northwest with nearly thirty years of furniture finishing and repair knowledge, he started his current venture Jensen & Son LLC with his son, Austin, who has been working along his side for nearly two decades, now assumes the role of project manager for many of the repair and finishing projects across the country as well the management and training of our other full time supervisors and technicians based from coast to coast.   The Jensen & Son team has perfected the art of applying professional grade green-guard certified finishes in-room without interruption to your normal day to day operations or disturbing nearby guests by using only the best people, materials, and proven techniques.
